BATU KAWAN, PULAU PINANG – 1 December 2023: Jambatan Kedua Sdn Bhd (JKSB; a company owned by Minister of Finance Incorporated and a concessionaire of Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah bridge) wishes to announce the opening of two (2) manual Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) lanes at the Bandar Cassia Toll Plaza.
The two lanes involved are Lane K23 (Toll Plaza B) from the PLUS Highway towards Bandar Cassia and Lane M4 (Toll Plaza C) from Bandar Cassia towards the PLUS Highway. Both RFID manual lanes will be accessible during peak hours from Monday to Friday in the morning, starting from 6:30 am to 9:30 am, and in the evening from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
The opening of the manual lanes is aimed to reduce traffic congestion during peak hours. Toll booth personnel will be equipped with portable readers to scan RFID tags or stickers, and facilitate the acceleration of user transactions.
As such, JKSB advises the public to ensure sufficient balance in their cards or e-wallets to facilitate a seamless journey. JKSB also thanks all highway users for their attention and co-operation.
