PARTIAL CLOSURE OF SULTAN ABDUL HALIM MU’ADZAM SHAH BRIDGE

Outbound Route from Batu Maung to Batu Kawan

BATU KAWAN, PULAU PINANG – 11 September 2023: Jambatan Kedua Sdn Bhd (JKSB; a company owned by Minister of Finance Incorporated and a concessionaire of Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah bridge, JSAHMS) wishes to inform that Jambatan Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah will undergo a PARTIAL CLOSURE involving the single-lane outbound route from Batu Maung to Batu Kawan starting from 6.00 p.m (16 September 2023 – Saturday) until 2.00 a.m on 17 September 2023 (Sunday).

However, the exit route from Bandar Cassia (Toll Plaza C) to PLUS highway and THE INBOUND ROUTE TO THE ISLAND from Batu Kawan to Batu Maung (Plaza A & B Bandar Cassia, and Plaza JK2PP) will REMAIN OPEN AS USUAL.

The temporary partial closure is in conjunction with the “Cultural Night Run @ Penang 2nd Bridge” program. The affected route will be operating as usual upon completion of the whole event.

As such, JKSB advises the public to use the First Penang Bridge as an alternative route to exit the island and follow all on-site instructions.

JKSB thanks all highway users for their attention and co-operation.

For traffic updates or assistance during emergencies, highway users can contact the JKSB Hotline at 1300-30-2828.
